Over the course of his extraordinary 35-year career, Andrew W. His practice has a particular focus on the acquisition, sale and development of real property in New York City and across the United States. He is sought after for his negotiating skills in the context, not only of contracts and leases, but also joint venture agreements, loan financings and restructurings, and distressed debt sales and purchases. Mr. Albstein has a well-earned reputation for his zealous and successful representation of owners and developers in connection with properties of all types including office buildings, hotels, shopping centers, parking garages, restaurants, commercial condominiums and cooperatives, mixed use projects and industrial sites. He has extensive experience in the sale and purchasing of appurtenant development rights. Mr. Albstein currently is working on deals valued at well over $2.5 billion which will only add to his impressive resume of notable transactions.

Mr. Albstein is integrally involved in many charitable organizations and causes most notably as the founder of the Phyllis F. Albstein Fund for Brain Science at Johns Hopkins University, an organization Mr. Albstein created to honor his mother who suffered under the scourge of Alzheimer’s disease. Through his efforts, Mr. Albstein has raised more than $6,000,000 for the funding of research to rid the world of this horrendous disease.
