Douglas Taus is the Chair of the Real Estate Leasing Department of Goldberg Weprin Finkel Goldstein LLP. Doug has over 25 years of real estate experience with a specialty in representing landlords and tenants in complex leasing transactions including office, retail, restaurant and hotels. He routinely represents developers and some of New York’s largest commercial property owners in ground leases and leases to national luxury retailers, supermarket chains, drugstores and medical facilities. Doug is more than just an attorney, he is a deal maker who finds creative ways to get a transaction across the finish line while still protecting his clients’ interests. His depth of experience representing both landlords and tenants gives him the ability to understand and appreciate the other side’s needs and concerns in a complex negotiation. Doug’s experience representing sophisticated clients in complex transactions and his deep understanding of complex issues, coupled with his reputation in New York, makes him a formidable ally and allows him to close difficult transactions efficiently and successfully. Doug earned his law degree from Fordham University School of Law and is a member of the New York State bar.
