Robert graduated from Columbia College in 1978, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Political Science and European History. Robert immediately next pursued his Master's in Public Administration at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and completed the requirements at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology while attending Boston University Law School. Robert received both his Juris Doctor from Boston University Law School and his Master's in Public Administration from Columbia in 1982.

Robert’s career commenced in the Merchant Banking Division of US Trust where he worked with sponsors and investors in equipment leasing and real estate syndications. He then worked as an associate on real estate and corporate matters and as General Counsel of a public mortgage Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).

In 2003, Robert joined Goldberg Weprin Finkel Goldstein where he concentrates on serving institutional and other clients in various capacities, primarily focusing on their lending transactions and corporate needs. Robert’s diverse educational and professional background enables him to play an instrumental role in handling many aspects of complex transactions including private and public offerings, organizational structuring and documentation, construction law, and other specialized matters.
